Adrian Welsh
KeymasterHi everyone,
100 Club
I am pleased to advise that we have now completed the documentation to open a second club current account specifically for the 100 Club.
Details are:
Name: Knighton & Clarendon Park Con Club 2 A/C
Sort Code: 601339
Account Number: 50701908
(We’ve had to abbreviate to “Con Club” as not enough space was available on the application form!)
Next Steps:
- All members who have expressed an interest by email or in person are included. We actually have 111 members who have confirmed their intention to join the club and we will be changing the name to the “120 Club”, should all payments come in during August.
- Please arrange to set up a monthly standing order for £5, or a one-off payment of £60 for the year, if preferred. Could payment be made during the first week of the month, starting in August.
- If you wish to pay in cash, this is acceptable, but standing order is preferred.
- Matt Watters will be making the first draw in the main room during the last Friday evening of August, hopefully around 6pm. Once all the funds are in, I will advise the prizes for August, but if £555 (111 x £5) is received, then the prizes are likely to be £200 / £50 / £25.
- On Tuesday 30th July, Matt will be using software to allocate a number to each participant, which will remain their number for the next 12 months.
- Once the numbers are allocated, I will send out a further email.
Jazz Night
Please see attached poster and some information on “The Jazz Crew”, who are performing here next Thursday, 25th July. I’m looking forward to seeing them, especially as they are making their first appearance at the club.
We shall be providing complimentary cheese and biscuits / pork pie at the bar.
Smoking
Despite my earlier request for the snooker players to use the receptacles provided, cigarette butts are still being constantly flicked onto the adjoining flat roof, the yard below and on to the steps and area around the flat entrance – this is totally unacceptable, anti-social and frankly, extremely disappointing behaviour
The smokers will know they nearly caused a fire earlier this year when a discarded butt was flicked into cardboard by the stairs to the back door, but fortunately the bar staff were alerted in time.
Would all smokers, whether upstairs or downstairs please use the receptacles provided, which consist of ash trays, buckets and wall mounted cigarette bins – Thank you.
Sharon
