Hi everyone
Maurice Letts Trophy 2024 – Current Holder Andy Rodwell
The format for this year will be slightly changed again as the Table Tennis in 2022 and Table Skittles in 2023 proved to be a bit strenuous for some members!
The format this year will again be three disciplines and over the best of seven legs / games as follows:
- Pool – three games (usual club rules)
- Darts – two legs (301 straight in, double finish)
- Bagatelle – two games (rules are with the games in the blue room)
We are hopeful that the first two rounds can be played by the end of November, with the quarter final / semi final and final played one Sunday afternoon in December. Refreshments provided to make a day of it.
Winner will receive the trophy (to keep for a year) and voucher for £50 for a meal at Timo’s Italian restaurant on Allandale Road and the runner-up five pints.
Closing date for entries Monday 14th October 2024. Either email me or let Rebecca’s team know. First round draw will be made later that week.
Jazz Night – 31st October 2024
The art work has been received and I am very pleased to attach details of October’s Jazz Night.
This will feature our old friends “Corner Pocket”, who have just recently played at The Class Room Cellar Bar near the Curve. Always a good club night.
Complimentary cheese and biscuits, pork pie etc will be available.
