Snooker Room

Snooker Room – Closed 4th / 5th August

I am writing to let members know that between noon and 5pm on next Monday and Tuesday, the snooker room will be out of action whilst required electrical upgrades are completed.

The upgrades are a mandatory requirement to allow us to meet the standards required for our 5-year Electrical Certificate requirements.

Damage to Tables and Room

Whilst writing, I must advise that recently there has been some damage caused upstairs:

• Two ceiling tiles damaged from using the long cues,
• A small tear in one of the clothes, now repaired. Damage caused presumably by careless cue control.
• A round black felt tip pen used to mark the cloth where one of the round spots had come away. As many snooker players will know, the clothes are stretched at least once during their lifetime and ours are due for this to happen later in the year. Unfortunately, when the cloth in question is stretched, this will mean an unsightly black mark on the table. (We do keep spare spots behind the bar – please just ask)

We know mistakes will happen – please just come and tell the bar staff of any issues so we can make the necessary repairs, if required, rather than finding out later.
