Edward (Ted) Matthews

Dear Members

It is with considerable sadness that I must advise you that well known, much liked and regular visitor to the club Ted Matthews passed away earlier this week. We have been told he died peacefully. Very sad news and I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to Stevie and all Ted’s family.

Ted, who was aged in his mid-eighties, had been a member and supporter of the club for many years and was well known to all the regulars. He used to regale us with stories of his upbringing in Liverpool and his service with the Royal Air Force. He will be missed.

Once further details are known including the arrangements, I will let you all know.

The flag is flying at half-mast.
