Kenny Wilson – Tonight
Just a quick reminder that Kenny is playing at the club tonight, 8pm start. With Special Guest “Dawson Smith“, so sure to be a good evening.
Darts & Drinks Night with Steve Beaton – Saturday 1st November 6.20pm. – 7.20pm
I am very pleased to advise that we are one of the four venues for a darts exhibition by former world champion Steve Beaton. This event has been organised by Sean Marshall, nephew of former long time club member, the late Doug Marshall.
The 53 seats on the bus have been sold out for sometime and this is what the ticket price of £15 refers to. Steve and his entourage will be visiting each of the four venues for an hour or so – please the attached poster.
Steve will be playing a leg of darts against six or eight challengers from each club / pub, so if any member fancies taking Steve on, please let me know. First come first served basis – I would add that we are asking for a £10 contribution to play against Steve, which will go to the Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland Veterans Wellbeing Hub based in Loughborough.
The November quiz at the club on 11th November will also be a charity quiz in support of the above Veterans Wellbeing Hub – watch out for full details and posters in the next week or so.
York Trip – 11th December 2025
I can also advise that 68 people have now paid up for the Christmas Fair Trip. However, this leaves just under 20 members still to confirm their booking.
We do have a waiting list of 17 people and I would ask all those still to confirm / pay to do so by 17th October 2025, otherwise we shall look to reallocate their seats to members on the waiting list in order of priority.
