    Good morning everyone

    Membership Renewals 2026

The window for renewing memberships has now closed. With Data Protection legislation, we cannot keep the window open indefinitely.

In the club rules, the recommended cut-off date is 28th January, but we did allow an additional four weeks to renew. I did send out three communications in November, December and January regarding membership renewals for 2026.

Under our commitment to Data Protection legislation, in particular keeping our records accurate and up to date, we will now delete all personal data held by the club in respect of people who are no longer members of the club.

I would like to thank the 456 members who have paid-up for this year, but there are 130 people who did not renew. By tomorrow night nearly all the personal data held for these 130 people will have been deleted and during the next few days we shall look to deactivate all related fobs and any remaining email addresses.

However, having said the above, any ex-member who wishes to renew is very welcome to do so, but just needs to go through the normal application process.

    Bar Price Rise March 2026

In February, our brewery, Molson Coors raised all their prices, on average by an uplift of 5%. There was also a price rise on some drinks by Coors last Autumn, but the club absorbed these increases without putting up the bar prices.

With effect from Monday, we shall be increasing prices in line with the brewery price rise.

In respect of our most popular drinks, this will mean an increase of:

    • 20p a pint on beers, except premium beers such as Staropramen and Guinness at 30p a pint. (New prices: Carling £4.20 / Draught Ales £4.40 / Guinness and Staropramen £5)
    • House spirits now £2.30 per 25ml and £4.40 per 50ml.
    • Wine and Prosecco have been increased in price to us by 8%, so this will mean 30p per bottle on wine and a 40p increase on prosecco.
    • Majority of Premium Gins and Spirits are now £3.70 per 25ml.

The full price list of all drinks and confectionery as at 2nd March 2026 is already posted on the notice board by the bar.

In closing, we are mindful that we are a Member’s Club and have tried to keep the drinks as cheap as possible and this is our first increase in prices for 12 months.

We know our prices are still very competitive in the Clarendon Park / Knighton area and subject to no unexpected surprises from the Brewery or the Government during 2026, hope to keep the prices unchanged until March 2027, when the next review should be due.

    Best wishes

    Sharon Jones

    Secretary
