140 Club Draw

I am pleased to confirm the results of the monthly draw held last Friday evening:

• 1st Prize £200 – Ball 74 Ken Wylie
• 2nd Prize £80 – Ball 116 Dave Collins
• 3rd Prize £40 – Ball 40 Paul Lewitt

Congratulations to the three winning members. Would Dave and Paul let me have their bank details, when I will then arrange for the funds to be credited.

Also thanks to Vikki Emery for drawing the balls and Sue Buck for being our witness / scrutineer.

2026 World Cup Sweepstake Draw

Many thanks to the 48 members who have entered the Sweepstake. The teams were drawn this weekend by Andy Humpherson, Loz Kind and Tony Yates as follows:

Entry fee is £10 per team and it looks like we still have 11 members to pay up. Please do so by the weekend – many thanks.

Prizes:

• Winner £200
• Runner-up £100
• Third Place £60
• First Team eliminated – Five Pints.
• Team conceding the most goals in the tournament – Five Pints.
• Team racking up the most yellow or red cards (3 points for a Red, 1 point for a Yellow – George will keep a record on this) – Five Pints.
• Team scoring the best goal of the tournament as decided by the MOTD panel at the end of the competition – Five Pints.

For the last four categories, it’s five pints or equivalent drinks for the non-beer drinkers.

We will be decorating the club with bunting and flags later this week.
