Hi everyone
Chris and I are now back from our break, so I’ve got quite a lot to communicate with you!
2025 Subscriptions
It was very pleasing that there were some 25 renewals awaiting process when we returned, which have all been updated and the Club Booklets are on the main bar awaiting collection. This makes over 420 paid up members for 2025 – a great effort, thank you.
This leaves just in excess of 100 members still to renew. Because we must keep our computerised records up to date in accordance with Data Protection requirements, Nick Woods will be contacting these members over the next couple of weeks to see if they still want to continue their membership. If for whatever reason they choose not to, we will delete all information held with immediate effect.
Football Fantasy League
I am pleased to confirm that Daz Singh won “Manager Of The Month” for the second time – congratulations to Daz. Please see below.
Molson Coors Race Day 26th April 2025
Molson Coors are again sponsoring a race day at Oadby. I have no further details, but the day normally involves free admission before a set time and a couple of freebies. If you are interested in going, please make a note for your diary. I will send out their flyer with full details when received.
May Coach Trip – Cambridge 14th May 2025
We are in the process of booking an 84 seater coach for the Spring City Trip. Cambridge is a very interesting historic city, which also has good shops and lots of pubs / restaurants and is well worth a visit.
- Looking to leave 830am from the club, return 515pm from Cambridge.
- Usual coffee, tea and biscuits 730am onwards.
- Cold Buffet on return at 7pm
- Prices – £18 Members / £22 Non-Members

Snooker Tables
Just a request for the tables and room to be respected. Within 36 hours of just being recovered at the cost of £700 per table, the middle table was damaged twice by careless play. These clothes are expected to last until Summer 2027; please look after them so all members can enjoy these top class facilities.
Club Darts Team
Progress is being made with the Monday Nights Darts team in terms of players and entering the local league. If interested in representing the club, please contact Tony Yates at the club or leave your mobile number with one of the bar team.
